Overview
The Chicago Great Western's tracks connected Chicago, Oelwein Iowa, Minneapolis, Kansas City, and other cities. Currently only the Easter Division is listed in detail, but the southern division route is there but only has a few stations listed. Please be patient. If you want to work on it, feel free to download the kml file from http://shadowsoftrains.org/mediawiki/kml/CGW.kml
If you add to it, let us know where we can get a current version and we will add it to the site.
Map Details
This maps is a combination of
http://shadowsoftrains.org/mediawiki/kml/CGW.kml
and
http://shadowsoftrains.org/mediawiki/kml/photos/CGW_photos.kml
the first came from my copy of Google Earth. The second was generated by http://www2.adamfranco.com/photosetToKML.php (Thanks Adam!) by handing it my the ID of my CGW group at Flickr (72157606986931448). I'm working generating that dynamically but I'll go it manually for now. Look for pictures in Oelwein and Aurora Iowa.
